Koggala Coastline
Located in the beautiful coastal town of Koggala, Sri Lanka, our Sea Turtle Farm & Hatchery has stood as a sanctuary of hope for endangered marine life for years. Out of the seven sea turtle species remaining globally, five choose the sandy beaches of Sri Lanka to lay their precious eggs.
Unfortunately, severe natural predators, marine pollution, and human poaching have pushed these magnificent ancient creatures to the brink of extinction. Our facility steps in as a vital defense mechanism. We work around the clock to ensure that nature's delicate balance remains undisturbed, nurturing fragile eggs safely until they are ready to meet the ocean waves.

As a non-profit organization, our maintenance relies entirely on visitors and global well-wishers. All contributions collected at the gate directly support:
- 🔹 Purchasing vulnerable wild eggs from local beach gatherers
- 🔹 Specialized dynamic water tank filtering grid system setup
- 🔹 Supplying clinical medicine to permanently disabled resident turtles
Our Vision
Our core vision is to build a risk-free coastal breeding ground along southern Sri Lanka, completely wiping out poaching and ensuring that every single turtle nest found can hatch in total peace, helping restore the ocean's biological balance for centuries ahead.
Our Mission
To active buy back turtle nests directly from local coastal gatherers, run safe nesting pools, supply round-the-clock clinical aid to disabled marine life, and provide memorable eco-educational opportunities to global travelers and native family members.
